The old spiderman movies are complete trash and everyone knows it. The story was terrible, toby was terrible, Mary Jane was terrible. Everything was terrible.

Even if you wanted to make the argument that the first set are better, the only leg you have to stand on is the second movie, which would have been good if 1/2 of it wasn't about spidy somehow losing his powers because he is a whiny bitch. And then getting them back by being slightly less of a whiny bitch.

Sorry but the fact is just as many people think Toby was better as the amount that think this new guy is.

I think Toby's spiderman movies were much better. Only good bit of the 2 new movies was when that sad bit happened

There is nothing to be spoiled. If you read the comics well duh you knew what was going to happen but how the fuck could you not catch on? They laid it on from the very start as thick as they possibly could lol.

Decent movie, I enjoyed it but I was hoping for better.

was so hard to get past 15minutes in that movie, and i just had to stop ~30 in cp1 ..didnt even bother with the 2nd one.
the special effects copy/pasting the actors face on some stickfigure with a deep ass voice L M A o.....couldnt take it seriously.

They weren't complete trash. Well, the third one was. Toby was good at the time, but after seeing Garfield, it's clear that toby was no spiderman. He didn't fit the part at all compared to Garfield and anyone that claims otherwise is no real fan of the source material and really has no idea what they're talking about. Mary Jane looked the part, sounded the part and but rarely acted the part, but they also gave no substance to her and they tried to combine the dynamics of gwen and mary jane into one character. They failed on that front miserably. They also ruined Gwen in the third movie. The villains were great except for the third movie, venom itself as a villain was great but they ruined it with Eddie.

Honestly, the only thing worth salvaging from the original spiderman series is norman osborn, doctor octopus and J. Jonah Jameson.
When they first came out, there wasn't anything to really compare it to but now with a new series developing it's really easy to see that the previous installments weren't as good as the new ones. The sand man and the second goblin were terrible.
