Sometimes studios rearrange the order of episodes (example: Firefly)
Sometimes there's multiple orders to watch episodes (example: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)

edit:

another example would be Star Wars. Would you watch it in chronological order or in the order of release?
