She became a consciousness and he simulated what her touch would be like at parts because she became a reality to him at times
For me, I find that I did not understand the movie. Was it about how our society is becoming so immersed in technology we can effectively eliminate the need for romantic human relationships (or can, conceivably, in the future)? Is it just a jab about how we're obsessed with our technology in general? Maybe it is about how we can use technology as a crutch to hide from the difficulties of relationships like he did or maybe technology doesn't play that much of a role in the movie's message at all.
I'm wondering if we're at the point where technology isn't going to be a theme of movie's but a full blown genre unto itself.
Anyway, I found the movie to be visually spectacular. I thought it got a little redundant and boring at times, although those scenes were probably necessary to show the evolution of the OS, and like I said I didn't immediately leave with a message I'm confident with.
Worth seeing simply because it is gorgeous.
I think the point of the movie is life. What is it, can we create it. Etc. Look up quantic dreams kara for a better understanding of what I mean.
