All 5 seasons have been filled with Walt crying about something. He acts tough but he's incredibly weak emotionally.

I am not pissed off by them. They are part of what makes him an interesting character and what makes the show so good. If Walt was fully either the cold, hardened criminal Heisenberg OR the nerdy, pussy chemistry teacher family man, then the show would need to develop other angles to be good. As it is now, the writers and Cranston himself portray an extreme of both sides so well. It's great for the audience.

Well I guess Gray Matter did resurface. It may have served only as an emotional tipping point for Walt though, not having any tangible connection to his dealings.

Overall, I felt a little disappointed by this episode. What we saw was the stuff we knew would happen - the stuff that was needed to advance the story to the point it was in Season 5's opener. Only part of tonight's episode that was really dramatic and compelling was Jesse's experiences.
