first 2 seasons are kind of slow, with episodes that aren't connected between them... most of the time it's the same thing every week, just a different case, and maybe a very tiny step forward in the overall story
starting from the 3rd season this changes and the show gets much better; every episode takes off where the last one stopped; all the "boring" episodes from the first 2 seasons start to make sense and are connected to the newer cases, and the series becomes much more interesting (while also more farfetchd and complicated).
Over all, I liked Fringe... the first 2 seasons where meh (interesting ofc but get boring after so many similar episodes), but the next ones made up for it.
~ This,
I agree it is pretty complicated, I had to re watch some of the episodes, I like the idea behind the theoretical science, a wee bit far fetched,
wasn't a fan of the creature in the first episode, which come to play later on ( costumes could have been better ) Walter is definitely my
favorite char on the show, Olivia's & Peter's role mesh pretty well, drawn out sometimes, but it's worth watching.
