The Thing wasn't a remake, DERP. It was a prequel and it was PERFECT. Fuck anyone that thinks otherwise.

Don't you know the rules of movies? Whenever 4 unnamed thugs are unloading machine guns on the title character, the bullets aren't allowed to hit

The title character, however, only needs 4 rapidly fired shots to take out all 4 unnamed thugs.

Which "The Thing" wasn't a remake? The one from 1980's or the one from 2010's?

2010 is prequel to 80s which is remake of 50s

80s > 50 >> 2010s imo

I knew there were 3 movies, I saw the 1982 one, and just thought that both the newer ones were remakes. Didn't realize 2011 was supposed to be a prequel.

My point remains, 1982 The Thing is a good remake of a classic.
