What I tried to recommend is to watch something else than extreme budgeted hollywood films. I don't know what kind of stuff is shown in which theaters there but I ment the kind of stuff arthouse theaters show, for example most foreign films are shown in arthouse theaters probably.

All film is art anyway but imo most of the stuff is arthouse material, atleast by american standard.
You passing the idea just seemed very closeminded towards the huge (and in my view usually the most rewarding) part of this medium, which I find sometimes hard to understand, so my fault. If you like music - why listen to only radio or if you like books - why read only books recommended by Oprah. That kind of thing.
