denzel to me is like a lot of other actors
almost every movie he is in he plays himself

hes the serious black dude with the dont fuck with me attitude
dont see much diversity in his acting

not that i dislike him mind you many of his movies are very very good and i enjoy him in them

but my definition of a good actor is someone who can become something they are not, be someone else, act like something they arent
thats an actor

I wasn't really a fan of him but I just watched 5 of his movies in a row, lol.

I think he's a pretty good actor now, actually, I'd put him in my Top 3.

I really enjoyed John Q, The Hurricane and Training Day.
What about you folks ?

they filmed john q in Oshawa i know the guy whos house it was filmed in hes a neighbor of my great aunts :) they put the guy in a 5 star hotel and gave him the works but he decided to take his mom to the hotel o.o nice to take his mom but man coulda got that pussy on tap.

60sec on google and this is what I've read.

Denzel Washington refuses to do love scenes with white women and has been quoted saying "Black women are not often seen as objects of desire on film. And they are my core audience".

By focusing on race so much yes I would say it is fair to call him mildly racist to say the least. Assuming the above information is true.

I honestly wouldn't consider him memorable. Average B-rated actor I guess.

Isn't any Eddie Murphy or Morgan freeman...

That really doesn't seem racist to me. I think he's spot on that black women aren't seen as object of desire in film. And since he's an attractive black actor, why on earth would he get it on with white women in his movies. A big part of his audience is probably black women so it seems more like a smart move imo.
