GTO - Which you can either watch as the original Anime (illustrated )http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Great_Teacher_Onizuka_episodes (i strongly recomment the japanese version with english subs. There is an english dub, but imho its not very good) or as a TV Series. There are two versions 1 older (1998) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209631/?ref%5F=fn%5Fal%5Ftt%5F1 and one newer (2012). You can watch both, however i think the old one is a little bit better

by the way I've already seen BMS and I just downloaded the whole series for The Wire and going to dl The Sopranos.
I heard Sons of Anarchy is good as well.
