Walt puts his family in witness protection.
If you mean Saul's version of 'witness protection', then he must have put himself in there too (he has a new identity). And I don't think his family is with him or else he wouldn't have had to write 52 with his bacon himself.
If you mean the government's witness protection, then I'm not sure what you mean. Cops put people in witness protection when they witness a crime. Walt is the criminal not the cop, so it would have to be Hank who put Walt's family in witness protection because they witnessed Walt's actions.
