Deadwood was awesome. Shame it got cancelled. Also seen Pillars of the Earth (highly recommend).

Downton Abbey maybe if that's your thing. Blackadder for comedy (season 1 is worse than the rest). Boardwalk Empire/Mad Men are both in history too, but a bit earlier.

Blackadder is awesome :) I was born in England so I was practically raised on it. Downton abbey was meh... far too loveydovey for me.
