Even if that's true, I still think that he should have realized all the violent stuff Heisenberg has done before connecting Walt=Heisenberg. The way it was done is essentially "putting the cart before the horse".
Hank's discovery moment should have been the climax of the series. Everything should have built to it. Instead, this pivotal moment is much less dramatic. He already knew Walt was a skilled chemist. All he really learned at this moment is that Walt is a criminal. The full depth of it will trickle in later, after the pivotal moment has passed.
