Incredibly cliche, incredibly!

forbidden love between two fueding families (romeo and juliet)
the vigilante good guy fallen off the good guy road, has a heart and becomes the unlikely (but incredibly likely) hero
All aliens go through the same puberty as humans, and have the same emotions as humans, just with some bonus facial makeup shit.
An alien planetary wiping out race of aliens... was being help back by a wall. Interplanetary space travel, but cant get around a wall... riiiiiiight
the first E1/E2 pilot was very rushed, little to no backstory, convienently found has the alien stopping item out of a shipwreck.

Seems just, lame. Was i mildly entertained? yes, but for a sci fi show... idk it doesnt have the awesome universe and aliens of star wars, doesnt have unique backstory and characters like firefly, doesnt have the interstellar exploration (so far) of star trek...

This seems like it will fail, and with the game being $60 price point when there's games like planetside 2 out that are free to play, i just dont see this succeeding on TV or as a Video game.

1. ....forbidden love like romeo and juliet? tell me, where in romeo in juliet was one of the family's plotting to marry their kids just to kill off the other family and steal their wealth? I missed that part when I read romeo and juliet and watched both versions of the movie. Care to point that out? their families are closer to the Hatfields and the McCoys than the Capulets and the Montagues.
2. .... Nolan was never a vigilante in the first place, no sure how you came to that conclusion, he was a war hero turned ark hunter.
3. .... wat? this makes zero sense.
4. .... a race of war like aliens that stowed away on the arks in secret equates to interplanetary space travel? the wall wasn't there to hold back the volge. If you actually paid attention during the final battle, they had no problems climbing the rocks. So clearly taking down the wall which was there to hold back the dangerous animal and plant life that was created from the terraforming that almost destroying the planet(they did say that's what the energy wall was for in the first place) was just a matter of convenience so their plans would go unimpeded.
5. Conveniently found? he stole the key from players in the game after working his ass for it. He's an ark hunter, arkfalls consist of pieces of the ships that brought the aliens, every single ship has a power source, the terraspire sphere.

Seriously people, this is meant to be watched along with the game. If you can't pick up the game, then you're making incorrect judgements about the story.
There was plenty of back story that was present in the game and provided by syfy prior to the airing, they had videos on demand, on youtube, on their official site and it's easy to look it up if you don't want to play the game. That's a lot more than most shows do to get their audiences into the story.

Did you actually watch firefly from the start? not catch it later when all episodes were available? there wasn't much back story at all, it was fleshed out over the episodes.

ur right, they made an entire tv series for the few thousand people that play the game. Cause syfy is like "you dog, lets spend millions for the few hundreds thousand people who play to watch it (and thats being generous as fuck)", you're fucking kidding me, if you believe that the show isnt directed at a much larger audience you must have no sense of business whatsoever, either that or incredibly naive. Also, you're 1-5 was about as dissuasive are humanly possible. "what, there's this thats different so you're obviously totally wrong, and i dont get this so it obviously makes no sense. Also if you paid attention, some shit happened that in no way disproves what you said but you obviously dont get it so learn to listen, etc"

so essentially, fan boy rage, nothing new to see here. move along.

If you did even a miniscule amount of research over the project you'd know that it was a transmedia experience where the show ties into the game and the game ties into the show.
It goes well beyond a few hundreds of thousands of people who just play the game. Whether the experiment fails is open to debate, but that's exactly the driving force behind the direction of things. My 1-5 illustrated that your gripes are either completely unfounded or complete nonsense or make zero sense. Because they had a few scenes with the kids, it's a forbidden love like romeo and juliet? Like I said, it's clearly the hatfields and mccoys and they're using it as a plot device to illustrate stathma's subtle ruling in her family despite castithan females forced into a more subservient role. It's obviously different and you are totally wrong about it, but at least you admitted it despite trying to be sarcastic and insulting in the process. The part about the volge being held back by the wall but mastering space travel, once again wrong since they clearly said that the wall was to hold back the wild life and plant life rung amok and not to hold back the volge and that they didn't even know about the volge. So far, not even remotely dissuasive. I could go on but it's evident where you stand on the show and I'm not going to waste my time with the likes of you.

No, didnt do any research, only played Beta, watched the show, but somehow didnt catch that part. Your illustration of my gripes was you fanboying, nothing else. Its ok, try to make this much grander then it is. I'd say ur arguments are about as invalid as humanly possible, but i know ur just a fanboy, and it would be like arguing PC vs a Mac using Hipster. Stay mad that your show wont succeed like you want, nor will the game. Also enjoy buying the upcoming DLC packs, it may not be pay to play, but it's pay to play. Yeah, sorry i picked up on that, even though i missed the show tying in the game part even though isnt posted all over everything in the fucking world that has to do with defiance.
