Love it. Show is coming along nicely. First time I've ever enjoyed a show on basic cable.

Enjoying this show thoroughly so far.

Looking forward to the development between Hannibal and the private "detective" guy.

The second episode was pretty entertaining. I'm worried, though, that they're going to do that "case of the episode" structure. I'm really not a fan of that, but it seems like they're going with that direction. It really cheapens the investigation process, and makes it hard to appreciate, with all the investigators' "conclusions" being hasty and ad hoc. I much prefer long cases that span a season, like in The Wire.

I'm sure there will be a longer "case" here and there. Like in criminal minds they mixed it up between single episode killers and longer ones.

Well, if you watched that "coming this season on Hannibal" little video after the first episode. You basically see that the first episode carries throughout the season and still haunts Will/has direct impact on further investigations. And, it seems like they made a pretty big deal of showing that Eddie Izzard guy (who I've like it what I've seen him in) as an apparent pretty big serial killer later on in the show. Perhaps that is going to be the main focus for the rest of the season? Other than that, it looks promising for this season. Now, will I say that I think this show is going to have several seasons like Dexter or something... NO. But, here's to hoping we get at least 3, good ones anyways. :)

Fell asleep 10 minutes into the first episode because I was so tired lol. But I plan to rewatch the hole thing later on today. Already have a feeling that this is one of those shows that wont be worth watching until the first or second season comes out.

Not really the case imo. The shows that are like that, are the ones like Dexter that leave every episode off with this "giant" cliffhanger that leaves you always wanting more. This show pretty much resolves it's stories at the end of the episode.

Thing is Criminal Minds got old real quick with a 1 case per episode structure(even with the recurring killers) and I was really hoping for something more flowing with Hannibal. Just one big story not too centered around cop cases.

I guess we'll see how this goes.

Take "The Following" for example. One big case that spans the season makes for something a lot more entertaining and yet there are mini-cases every episode.

Well...I just watched the episode they didn't air cause of the boston bombing. I'm officially out of this TV show. I don't like the structure, I don't like how they portray Graham, I don't like where it's going and I don't feel like there's any progression from episode to episode.
