Somehow I really doubt this.

I can't imagine the average GoT watcher giving a shit about Basketball, I certainly don't and based on the youtube feedback I'm not alone...

well, maybe it's to attract sport people.

It was probably an attempt to bridge a gap or attract new audiences.....it was an epic fail though.

i hope they announce battles like its a sports game will humor me for an ep or two than I shall disregard this series and just read the books.

He was just saying a bunch of fancy stuff that doesn't really relate to basketball unless you use some very stretched analogies.
