Well you know i'll give my two cents, it's the advice as old as .. well, lol, modern internet.. 2000-era. I don't know if i should say the site name as of itself, but veeery many people use it... and if you ever heard of the band Alestorm, you can investigate the theme of which their metal is based around. And then you can associate the rest in your mind yourself :)
Personally i MUST have everything i see, watch and listen to on my pc. Because i got two screens ... i chat game n read on the big screen. And i got one pc screen that i watch tv, shows n whatever on. I actually have 3 screens, one big tv screen as well, for tv .. i bought this pc because it SAID in the damn description that it had THREE screen ports ................ because i wanted to be able to unsubscribe to my tv cable subscription then, 5 years ago, which cost a whopping shitty 50$ a month...... i plugged in all three. Only two screens work properly at a time. Of course. I messed about with it for days. No go. Lost motivation, managed with two screens.
Went back t'shop about some months later. Okay, so i asked the quick salesman. The description says it has 3 ports. Why does it not work? "Well because it only has 1 screen card device inside." Me: "Ahaaa, okayy.... so while it has 3 ports, it cannot run more than 1 screen at a time?" Him "Close eyes and shakes head in a very nonchalant, slow and confident manner". Lol, so cocky, confident and all that ... yet has no clue what he's talking about. Why would i be able to use two (i actually got 3 screens to work, but they all got messed up) screens if there is only 1 screen card in it? ^^ Either way, i felt so unwelcome that i didn't ask for any more advice.
SO! Back to the issue. I HATE everything that has to do with subscriptions, streaming, and being DEPENDENT on anything else to be able to see what i want to see. So i don't ever pay for streaming services.
I also have my personal values. Money should come from work. Real work. Making millions on acting - i don't consider that real work. It is ART, yes. It CAN BE art. But art is something that should "naturally happen"........ not happen as a result of a paid venture. Which is why you see so extremely littel real, genuine and good acting.
Therefore - i say, download whatever the hell you want. I've done that for 20 years and never heard so much as a whisper from the great cornholio in the sky. And i don't suppose i ever will either. I like to be in control of my life. As there was one guy saying in the criminal investigation channel ... "The devil always has to get paid" ^^ such a funny quote... but it means, there will always be someone there to "yank your chains" and want to make you pay. That is capricorn, the devil, teaching us to not give in, don't pay the devil, becasue if you do, the next time - you guessed right - the price is going to increase. And then you get used to having the chains round your neck. And then you're forever in debt. Same goes with alcohol and anything else as well. It takes real discipline to not overpay and to get by cheap in life. That's the capricorn's lesson. To live as well as possible on as little money as possible.
That is why i say .. don't let them make you pay.
