I disagree. Having any relation to GoT gives this show a lot more recognition than it would garner as a standalone show because it's really not that great

There is nothing exceptional about this show except for the visuals

Episode 3 was pretty good. The suspense is building.



Obviously GoT has made it popular, but it’s compared alongside GoT which obviously isn’t a fair comparison. It’s not an exceptional show but it is very good.

Something finally happened, that’s good. Everyone in the show is braindead, which is less good

You’re telling me that they knew the army was only moving and attacking at night to avoid the dragons, but when they decided to attack in broad daylight right next to dragonstone no one ever stopped to think “hmm maybe this is the most obvious trap in history”

No close to as bad as s8 GoT. It’s not amazing, but it’s definitely watchable. S8 GoT isn't watchable.

I was talking specifically about characters making stupid ass decisions, but I think it’s a lot closer than you realize. They just don’t have good characters that have been built up over years to ruin in this show so it’s not as frustrating

I do agree. The character development is nowhere near as good. However, character development fell away after s5 of GoT. And for like 10 years, nothing happens in the dance of the dragons, so there isn’t too much story to tell between them time jumps.
