id almost argue the opposite and say that it starts off great, then mehs out for a bit throughout until it gets really good at the end. felt like i had the same reaction to most of the seasons except maybe s3 which felt pretty anticlimactic at the end, though i really like noir so that season was a lot of fun for me hahah

Felt like years waiting for season 4.

can't say im too excited for it but definately curious what they bring new.

And outside of that the first And outside of that the first 3 episodes have been pretty meh. Last season was only about them NEEDING the kill homelander at any costs and now they’ve completely dropped that to go back to a low stakes political drama

Trying to give every character their own storyline is a bad decision too and takes away a good chunk of what has made all of the other seasons so good, especially when a fairly large portion are just uninteresting. The show is named after a group of people who have to work together to have any chance against overwhelming odds and instead of doing more of that they’d rather give us bad character pieces. Butcher‘s is the only actually good one, I’m excited to see what they do with him and Ryan

Homelander having enough humility to accept help from sage while also hating it has been pretty fun to watch but the ‘I know everything’ character is as boring in this as everything else they’re put in. Victoria Neuman has been great this season, she might be the most interesting character as of now
