I actually am a late Comer

N finished HIMYM like last year and I love the show now


But I didn't know it was one of most hated series finalees ever

The finalee was okay...

It didn't make me hate the show

I felt barney and Robyn should of ended up together and that happens in the alternate ending


But I didn't follow the show while it was super popular on TV,

So I guess I wasn't as invested * as the people who followed the show for years, wanting to know who the mother is


They had a plan where the baking girl would of been the mother

But they stuck to Ted and Robyn,
But it made Robyn's character seem like a whore
N the actress didn't like what they did to Robyn


N I felt they did barney dirty as well,
I found barney carried the end of the show very well, he became more popular then Ted

Ted can be not a likeable guy, I've seen the take make videos about how Ted is the bad guy of HIMYM


It's like Ted was a evil genius n got what he wanted

The mother created 2 children for him, n then he got Robyn , the girl of his dreams


I've watched the show like twice now , n I like it ,
But I definitely see how much they copied friends,


Barney accepted Robyn for who she is,

Ted always wanted Robyn to be somebody else

N It ends showing how the baby mother was the love of Ted's life

She was dorky like Ted N liked the same things

It's on YouTube, n seems to be the most loved ending,

Not sure if it's fan made , cuz it feels official


Himym tried to a comedical ending , n it was fine as I watched it,
But then I saw videos on YouTube saying how much the world hated the ending they chose for the show,

I've heard a joke how the show should be called
Can I bang your Aunt?

Fun fact = Robyn is actually Canadian in real life

I thought it was fan made but either way its better. Makes more sense narratively as well.

It was a emotional ending ,
But felt more right,

Then the sitcom comedic ending they picked just wasn't as good, it's dumb how Robyn just leaves the group, cuz her and barney would remain friends even if they aren't together, they always had this unique friendship & barney did really care for her, it made me think like, okay Ted and Marshall both have kids and a family , so barney has nobody to hang out with? I know he would hang out with Robyn, they do enjoy the same things, like drinking whiskey and smoking cigars,
Robyn didn't wanna do nerdy stuff that Ted liked,
But teds baby momma, enjoyed the same dorkey stuff as him

N barney in his master plan to get Robyn, did make sure Ted had to be okay with it, or barney wouldn't go through with it, barney made sure, Ted had to agree with letting Robyn go, n Ted was honest with barney that he can't be around them 2, after they got married ,
But Ted became super happy immediately with the baby momma, so he was in love , while barney and Robyn were married

They zoom in on barney and Robyn n say they worked things out in the alternate ending

N I felt the show spent so much time making us root for barney and Robyn

N it was grown up of Ted to finally let go of Robyn for his boy
N he moved on and found the love of his life, they even did the balloon scene of Ted finally letting go of robyn

They showed how the baby mother was kinda dorky but cute,
N her bf didn't get her humor ,
But Ted and her seemed like soul mates, n she was a hotty


Through out the show * barney was the one who always cared about the group the most secretly, he would do big clutch things to keep the group together ,

Like flying to Lilly and taking all of Marshall's girls on purpose
N keeping Robyn from getting deported

N Robyn did break barney's heart, she picked Kumar over him
Barney let him self be vulnerable with Robyn, n barney really didn't mind that she can't have kids

Remmeber when barney leaves the stripper wife, he has a day dream that Robyn is his wife, cause Robyn is the only girl he ever trusted;

Barney has abondment issues, but Robyn filled the void

Barney and Robyn were both lone wolves, who liked each other

N barney did care about ted; barney was always the one who wanted to chill the most

The got ending set a new bar for how horribly you can end a show, in comparison the himym one isn’t that bad

Disagree. People didn't like the got ending because it was rushed. The same events playing out through 3-4 episodes would've been loved by everyone.

Himym ending fundamentally destroyed 9 seasons of character growth and themes.

The entirety of this show is a grieving man telling the story of how he met the woman who changed his life forever, someone who not only understands, but loves his oddities. In the final moments of this they turnaround and take a giant shit on the audience, well, she wasn't really that important, Robin though, SHE'S important!

Not to mention that a large portion of the show is about how Robin treats him like complete shit.

Is it though? She’s pretty cut and clear from the beginning how she feels. He’s the one that can’t get over her
