I was honestly kinda afraid to see this movie

But it wasn't that scary

It wasn't bad

But the main demon really looks like a lead singer from a death metal band lol!

Like he's in slip knot or something
HAHAHAHHAHAH

N I'm too chicken to watch most horror movies
I think conjuring would scare me

I enjoyed sinister when it came out. It had more dimension than a jump scare demon movie. It was a true crime mystery thriller

Yea the death metal demon was kinda funny. It's decent for sure the ending was kind of bizzare but ok.

Guys,
Try

Shutter ( only the thai version)

If you wanna watch a movie that's well written,
And scared me for sure, like I was afraid to be alone in the dark for a while

N even if ur a horror junkie , n don't get scared easily

Shutter was just a well written movie , which is prettty rare for horror

But yah sinister wasn't a bad movie, but I think it was a little over hyped,
But guess it's okay it wasn't super scary, cuz I can sleep fine
Maybe sinister would of been better if it wasn't super natural
I think I would of preferred it, if it kept real
It's kinda dumb how this supposed Paegon God who collects children, only has a army of 5,

N sinister 2 is probably so dumb, it's not worth watching,
I did enjoy Ethan Hawke
N yah the lawn Mower scene was sick

I do think Shutter had a better story then sinister though

In sinister, I think I might of liked it better if they said all that was inside of his head or something,
The slip knot demon , was less scary then the little girl ghost
I really think I would of enjoyed sinister alot more, if they kept to realism, cuz watching snuff films in a 8 mm format , is already really creepy it self, n those snuff films were cool

N u know when the slip knot demon looks at him from the cpu screen,
I thought it was a virus on his cpu lol

The opening scene for sinister was also dope , with the trees and the hanging ,
I understand they can't get super graphic In a movie , but they did well for those parts

I'm sure they have horror movies out there * i shouldn't watch ,
Like I've heard on YouTube, cannibal holocaust or something * sounds brutal and not for me

I guess sinister is better then most modern horrors,
The conjuring looks to scary for me , but maybe it's not

I hate it when a horror movie makes it hard to sleep

I don't watch much horror movies ,
The last horror movie I enjoyed for story reasons

Was It 2 ,
Wasn't the scariest movie , but good story n shows how we carry child hood demons into adult hood *
N the actor roster was good,

U know most horror movies have a crappy unknown cast
I can't say IT 2 was A list celebs,
But they had actors who I can recognize

Molly's game girl/ professor x/ and Snl guy

Most peopple like IT 1 , but I liked part 2 better , but seeing both makes part 2 make more sense , cuz I got to see them as children ,
So I understood why they were like that as adults,
Like the girl stayed with abusive men cuz of her father

I didn't really like how the fat kid * stayed in love with her, cuz they were old n I felt he should of moved on, cuz he grew up into a big stud *

Probably the best horror movie I've seen in my adult life.

As I said in the other thread, I don't believe there's a genuinely scary movie. Once you're old enough to be analytical of things rather than freaking out because of pure emotion, the best a horror film hopes for, is the occasional jump scare. Being actually scared, that feeling where you can't sleep, leaving a light on, feeling like there's someone outside/in your house, or that tingling sensation you get of your hair standing up when you're afraid, none of that shit should happen to a grown ass adult.

This movie did everything well, the acting was top notch, the atmosphere was phenomenal, the story was intriguing, and the payoff was well worth it. Almost all horror films end the same way, with the main character alone or with his one or two sidekicks escaping and defeating the ultimate evil. It's not a completely original route, but seeing the evil entity completely win is something I enjoyed a lot. I always hate that good HAS to triumph over evil, it's never made sense.

Probably a reason why Arlington Road is one of my favorite movies as well, so there's that.

e: Also, why the hell do you type like that?

Come on now, it happens to plenty and is an amazing feeling sometimes. Just cause you don't like it, or don't feel it doesn't mean others shouldn't!

It has nothing to do with like or dislike, I enjoy the horror genre plenty, I’ve just never met an adult (especially not a man), who gets scared in movies. It’s fucking weird to me to be scared of something that you know is fake and never going to happen. I’ve met grown girls who pretend to be scared, but outside going to the theater with girls in high school, I can’t remember the last time I was around someone who was scared.

Doesn’t mean I don’t get scared, there’s plenty of shit that worries me or puts me on edge, but I’m as likely to be scared by the thought of ghosts and goblins in my house, as I am of a damn movie.

E: shit, If you’re saying you’re the type of dude who can’t sleep after seeing something like this, then more power to you. I wish I could disassociate from reality and rationale thought when watching films. I’d probably be a fan of Disney movies and anything Michael Bay if I didn’t think during them.

Oh lol sorry I skimmed it and didn't realize you meant to literally be scared shitless. But in terms of the tingling sensations and the lesser degrees of being scared I think that'd be normal even for an adult. But not the part about can't sleep after. As a kid I remember it being "that" scary lol!

Unfortunately horror movies as an adult are terrible and most of the time invoke laughter. They were good in your teenage years to go see at the theatres with your girlfriend so she would cozy up to you.

Give me a good thriller any day now.
