I must say I am VERY excited about the future of Star Wars at Disney(at least the series) as this first episode was purely amazing. I was not disappointed.

Calm down didn’t mean to get the amphetamines flowing in your veins over my opinion. A few more lifts on your front porch bench press might help with the tension.

He’s right though… it was incredibly mediocre, but shows some future promise, depending on the direction they go. For the majority, Marvel has destroyed everything they’ve touched. Not from a financial standpoint of course, but they tried to do SW the exact way they did Marvel, formulaic nonsense with bad jokes and worse acting. When that failed for some reason I still can’t understand, they shifted their gears and did the exact same thing, but in a televised format, so as to lower the standards of the users and also to flush out stories for already popular characters.

I give them credit as often as possible for the things they excel at, but loving what they do or trusting a soulless company that couldn’t give two shits about the quality of the content as long as it makes money, is sad. Maybe one out of 20 projects we get something that’s well above the medium margin, but for the most part mediocrity is their brand and there’s no reason for them to care about putting more effort into their work when the majority of people think and act like you do.

My judgement was based on presentation not on my disdain for the company. I haven’t liked a Star Wars product since the originals until mandolorian or this.
