My only worry is that Amazon could butcher it but other than that it sounds pretty awesome as I feel there is never enough LOTR in the world!

what is the 2nd age? is that like warhammer 40k?

So the rise of Sauron and the final season will probably be his first defeat.

I have no confidence for anything LotR related following the absolute butchering of the Hobbit by Jackson. Some Amazon series have been impressive, but LotR is a tough show to pull off.

I really liked the Hobbit movies, especially the dragon, but I guess you think Trump help fund them?

Not even close. I don't think we even have cast or production details yet. It's confirmed and everything, but it'll be a couple years.

e: It's going to be about Young Aragorn fyi, has the potential to be incredibly solid. We'll see if they can learn from the mistakes of Jackson, or if they try and turn this into yet another advertisement for something that's already happened.
