Na man..

This is another one of those shows that falls into the category of things that should never ever ever have been a thing. Not every fantastic movie needs a T.V. show. It's not a new thing, but they're going so fucking overboard with this shit that it's just appalling.

Have you seen the movie? I'm just curious. One of my favourite Willis films, this and 5th Element are pretty close for me, it's also one of Pitt's best performances and I believe his acting in 12 Monkeys is what auto landed him the Fight Club role, which is arguably his best performance and a lot of people's favorite Pitt movie.

Shows can tell a way larger story than a movie though
The premise is the same but everything else flows differently

I haven't watched it, but I saw the trailers and it was enough for me to not want to watch it. If you're saying it's that good, I'll consider giving it a watch, but it looked like the acting was going to be piss-poor, the plot horrible, and the overall point of the show pointless lol. I've been wrong before, but I just don't see how you could possibly make a fucking show out of this.

The movie kind of covered everything perfectly, there wasn't anything else to be done.

I'm not saying it's amazing
I'm saying there's a reason to expand on the universe from a movie through a TV show

That depends entirely on the movie, and regardless, I'd still much rather have an original concept get made into a show, than yet another fucking good to great movie turned into a mediocre or bad show. If you're going to fall or succeed, do it based off your own merit, not off tree back of something else that sucks in viewers automatically because of the name that comes with it.

It got 74% on rotten tomatoes. TBH I don't think I've ever seen a tv series get lower than 85%

Brooklyn nine nine is so fking bad and it is in the 90's lol.
Why are tv series always rated so high???

RIGHT? It's like near impossible for shows to get bad ratings. When they do though, they get like 5% and shit. The whole rating system is horribly flawed. Pretty sure they'll give above average+ ratings to anyone who pays them enough money. None of these people have any morals, or else we wouldn't see every single children's film with a 95%+ and huge blockbuster successes like The Avengers with a 90%, shit is absurd.

For the majority of the population that watches T.V., you're correct. However, there are millions of people like myself who will take a show like True Detective that's slow at times, but beautifully done 10 out of 10 times vs any gawdy action packed monstrosity.
