OK so a few weeks ago 'Breaking Bad The Movie' was released online. Essentially 2 fans did a 'super cut' of the entire series into 2 hours. So I was in the midst of rewatching the show, and I was pretty psyched. Finished the show last night and watched the 'movie' today. Now obviously its hard to fit 5 seasons into 2 hours, but I thought it would still be fun/cool. Like you could do it to some extent.

DEAR LORD, it was fucking AWFUL. They left out so many of the 'best scenes' and really important things. There was no Walt with the explosion in Tucos office, they was no 'I am the one who knocks'/'I am the danger' scene. There was no cartel coming after Hank. There was no 'say my name scene' There was no Gus killing the entire Cartel, there was no Walt killing Gus.... Hell, there was no Walt killing anyone until the very end when he destroys all the Neo Nazi guys. They didnt show any of Jesses downfall. So much more that I cant think of right now, just couldnt believe it.

Was really poorly done. If they had focused purely on Walt becoming this absolute EVIL bastard it would have been pretty damn cool.

DO NOT WATCH lol, was very very disappointed.

I laughed at the fact of there being a movie in the first place. Cmon, you're better than this.

did they fail to include all your favorite scenes in a recap?

First of all taking ~48 hours of content and cutting it down to 2 obviously isn't going to work very well, a 2 or 3 part cut of 2.5-3 hours would be more reasonable.

Secondly you after comparing it to the series instead of looking at it as a stand alone film, obviously it is going to suck if you don't judge it on its own merit.

One of the reasons I think great TV shows are better than great movies.


Shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, GoT, etc are like 50+ hour long movies. They can fit in so much more character and plot development since they have over 10x the hours to work with. But that being said there are a lot more great movies than great TV shows.

Sometimes less is more.
