Liked the rey character
Han and chewie were great and of course Harrison Ford out acted the entire cast and really carried the movie
Poe was alright
Visuals and overall setting of the movie was great

Bad
Finn is terrible and his acting over the top
The plot was identical to new hope just switch some characters around
The empire is not imposing at all, kylo ren is made to look like the biggest fucking bitch and so his captain phasma
Way too much comic relief and half of it was from your main antagonist...
Luke's saber somehow survived the toxic surface of bespin?
No mention of any of the planets they travel to except jakkul...

ALSO how the fuck are Rey and Finn magically trained in saber combat and can match a guy who has been trained since birth ?

Finn was far from terrible

I like how they made kylo ren vulnerable, shows the conflict within him, he's obviously extremely powerful but it's uncontrolled.

Don't forget he was badly injured when he fought them both at the end, he pretty much destroys finn (finn was fighting with everything he had after kylo downed rey)

Rey has the force, she's also grown up knowing how to fight as evidenced during the scenes on jakkul

The comic relief was brilliant in places but I'll agree there were maybe one or two lines that were unnecessary and seemed forced.

The empire could tear multiple planets up at once with their weapon, pretty imposing imo.

A lot of people are saying the movie is an exact replica of a new hope. Easy to see the many similarities I guess. But I like that it is, abrams has played it safe - we know the universe, the characters of old.

It's set 30 years on so we obviously need a new generation of protagonists to cheer for. I was more than happy with it all.

so the chick in the previews dies? nice...

The main thing I didn't like is that they reveal kylo ren has Han and Leia's son so soon, not to mention unmasking him.
I also didn't quite like his vulnerability, but this could also imply that he still a young untrained warrior like Anakin was, and will eventually become what we knew as Vader.
Some humor was great, such as when Rey escapes her chair, Ren gets pissed and destroys everything and scares the storm troopers. However, I would have liked it a bit darker with a touch less humor overall.

I have faith in the new movies coming up to keep everything on par.

Overall 9/10.

dumb bitch in the shiny stormtrooper suit just turns off the shields , nice loyalty, nice writing

facepalms left and right,completely unnecessary humor, once again proves this is made to cash in on little kids and hook them?

overall childified mehfest of a movie with a super weak(and BEYOND DUMB) plot

Star wars has always been heavily geared towards kids.......and has ALWAYS had humor......

keyword is "unnecessary", have absolutely no problem with the humor in previous movies,

well for their cause too lock up little children it probably is necessary
