I understand the thought behind watching a Hollywood "scary" movie starts with skepticism, then trepidation, then ultimately the resign to your hunger for adrenaline, and you watch said movie.
But compared to ANYTHING since maybe 1985, The Conjuring was reasonably scary, kept the pace and mood brooding, and wrapped up nicely. I'm looking forward to them money-making off of what I thought one of the scarier sub-stories in The Conjuring.
Was it really that bad? Just volume increases and jump scenes moving towards a somber ending? If so, I'll agree with your opinion I'm sure, but I'm still looking forward to it :(.
Why are all scary movies so awful? Why can't I be scared anymore?
