Are there anything that we find out in the first movie that i wouldnt understand the second movie without?

better to watch them in order, first one has stuff that the second follows up on.

Watch them in order. Generally the first installment in a series of films is to establish characters and the relationship between characters. Even if you understand everything, the movie wont be as good because you're lacking in knowledge/background regarding both Guy Ritchie's version of Watson and Holmes.

thats what im getting at, whats the point in watching movies or a tv series if it isnt in order.
