Most of our thoughts would be in another thread.
Regardless I thought the movie was pointless, just another story about greed, addiction and the rise and fall of an 'empire' as such - however incredible performances from the cast, particularly Leo who is always excellent.

There will always be "just another story" in the movie business.

The movie was phenomenal.

Finally another good movie about Wall Street. Wall Street 2 was abysmal and Margin Call was boring as hell. Not enough finance/stock related movies that are actually entertaining, this one on the other hand, was. It is not often I laugh throughout the entire 3 hours of the movie, but in this case I did. Some of the scenes here were more funny than anything Family Guy / South Park / Two & half men / HIMYM / TBBT etc have produced in years. Arguably one of Leo's best performances yet, and he's had a rich career full of oscar-worthy performances from Titanic to Aviator, from Inception to Django Unchained, Shutter Island and even Blood Diamond for what its worth. Oh and the Great Gatsby, though I haven't seen it yet.

Anyways truly deserves its #60 spot on IMDB, its belongs in my personal top 5 favourite of all time :)

I didn't think so. Movies are extra special when they can be three hours long and still be brilliant.
