Do you think the contestants/winners are staged? Obviously a lot of the drama etc I think is padded for views but are the actual winners pre-determined?

I doubt it. They air the more "drama" scenes, thats for sure. But I think the best one wins.

i didnt watch master chef, but i watched master chef junior. the oldest kid (presumably with the most experience) won. he also made the better products than many of the other contestants. so i'd say that wasn't pre-determined. unless you think they're paying off the kids to make worse dishes.

Yeah I watched that as well. It was really interesting to see how kids a 3rd and half my age can cook better than myself lol.

u guys remember the season when a blind chef won the entire competition.. do u guys actually think she was blind and was able to cook extremely well?

I think she said on a talk show that she was not fully blind, but damn close.

Idk but atleast Top Chef theres small print that says winners may be discussed with producters or smtn, possible it's staged in that way, haven't seen master chef but I don't think they would be predetermined, maybe discussed with production team as they go though.

Well I mean they obviously keep certain people longer than they should for ratings, but as for an actual pre-determined winner? Not likely.

Like there are times when 2 people are up on the block and one of them has screwed up A LOT more things; but that person just creates sooo much drama that they keep him/her around, even though the other person may be on their first screw up.
