Fast and Furious doesn't need him to continue the series since it isn't in sequential order.

Not completely they could still use some beginning scenes I assume they have with him and then kill him off with his role switched to a minor part afterwards and being taken over by another. Because honestly what does he do in the movies? A few driving scenes that they can get any crew member to do and a few drama scenes with his girl that can be easily cut or replaced with wifey crying about him to vin or something.
