In most adaptations of a zombie movie, the zombies perform at human capacity or below, except maybe the genetically modified ones like Nemesis in the resident evil series. But still, I am supposed to believe that by just running in an uncoordinated way, a hoard of zombies could topple a bus, or form a zombie pyramid 10 stories high? Nope.

The entire point of the zombies from the book is that they're a slow unstoppable horde. The only real power they have is overwhelming numbers. You can jog away from a zombie but you can only job for so long when there are literally nothing but zombies for hundreds of miles. But in the movie, they're fast and supposed to move "like a swarm of bees or flock of birds"(paraphrasing Brad Pitt from an interview). From different quotes from Brad, it's apparent the move and book basically only share a name and the real meat that made the book so popular is almost entirely gone. Not saying the movie is going to be bad, just that it has almost nothing in common with the award winning book.

I am more disappointed with the fact that the film is nothing like the book what so ever - from what I can gather this movie is all about an American hero saving the world from a zombie apocalypse, instead of detailing and unraveling the events and circumstances which lead to the disaster through meeting 100's of characters. For me thats what made the book special

Stupid zombies? Zombies getting some perfect mix from brains chemical reserves and then uses that as explosive bursts combined with magnetic field sensing / ant-like hive teamwork is potentially fucking mindblowingly awesome.

This is pg-13, it will be probably as fun as sucking your own dick covered is shit and vomit.

My thoughts exactly, the zombies look as if they have superhuman strength/speed... Looked more like a swarm of insects than a horde of zombies.
