Plot

In the year 2154, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on Elysium – a Stanford torus space habitat in Earth orbit – and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. The people of Earth are desperate to escape the planet’s crime and poverty, and they critically need the state-of-the-art medical care available on Elysium – but some in Elysium will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve their citizens’ luxurious lifestyle. The only man with the chance to bring equality to these worlds is Max Coburn (Matt Damon), a 29 year-old ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission – one that pits him against Elysium’s mayor, Secretary Jessica Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well.[4]

D9 wasn't bad, probably gonna watch everything by the dude and dodge trailers and synopses meanwhile.

Trailer was surprisingly underwhelming and predictable. Kinda disappointing, was looking forward to this... Sigh

i agree the trailer was kinda pathetic but i still have high hopes for the actual film.

plus, Sharlto Copley is back!






i still want a D9 sequel.

Matt Damon walking around the whole movie, kicking ass in a robotic exoskeleton seems pretty corny, no? Sounds like some shit you would see on the sci-fi channel.

I couldn't agree more...




I was really excited for the film when I first heard about it, but after seeing the trailer, hearing some of the terrible dialogue, and getting a glimpse of what looks to be a terrible storyline, I am really disappointed and no longer have high hopes for it.

Because any 10 year old who watches movies, and who has seen enough "good" trailers in their time, knows that this is a very bad trailer. lol
