I came to the realization and my own astonishment that I have not seen all of the alien movie franchise!
Don't ask me how but it's true, so now I begin from the start until Prometheus.

Lmk your opinions and thoughts on these movies

I've watched each of these as they were released. None of the sequels can live up to the one that started it all. I'm hopeful, though, that the Prometheus franchise can redeem the series.

Alien 2 (1986) = good
Predator (1987) = OK
Predator 2 (1990 = bad
Alien 3 (1992) = bad
Alien resurrection (1997) = awful
A v P (2004) = bad
A v P Requium (2007) = awful
Predators (2010) = bad

some people like aliens(1986) better than alien(1979), an exception to the rule(that sequels blow). I prefer the first but the second one was pretty good too... mainly because it was a different sort of film.

Prometheus = fucking amazing. I happened to see this one before I saw A v P and there were a billion "Aha!" moments in A v P because of that. Adds a lot to the story, but other than that not a ton going for it.
