Just watched the last one for the first time...it was actually pretty well made as far as I can tell.

If only the other 6 could have been decent too. Makes me kinda wish for a reboot of the series.

What do you guys think? Is 1 decent film out of 7 enough to redeem the series?

I read all the books as a kid before seeing all the movies so I have a jaded view on the films.

Me too, but I think the 7th was the most faithful to the book, maybe that's why I enjoy it more...

the last 3 movies (the ones David Yates directed) are pretty good imo, the rest are not.... 3 was decent though, aside from the weird looking werewolf and the Dementors which looked like those black plastic garbage bags and were later used in the rest of the movies

First one was alright imo. I read the first 4 books back in elementary school lol. I think that's all that were out at the time?

I thought they were all well done.

Producers really don't have an obligation to play it by the books, nor have the movie run time, making any argument with books v.s movies nulled.

With that said, I don't see a problem with any of them.

I think 1 & 2 are really different from the rest, in a good way, it's less darker it's more enchanting, with the 3 it starts to get darker and darker until the last movie.

No 1 of them isnt enough to reboot the series..but I wish it was..give it a few years

Loved the childish fantasy atmosphere of the first 2. 3 started slipping into darkness and 4 just turned the tides by introducing the killing curse and the first witnessed death of a student.
