Recently a person whom I respect recommended a movie I had already seen, and Hated. I'm asking you, my friends in this wonderful SF, has the Re-Watch ever changed your opinion?

Right now I'm watching "Brick" for the second time. By all accounts I should have loved this movies considering how much I love noir.... Let's see if the re-watch can fix my previous opinion.

What you are experiencing is actually a change in yourself.
Ive noticed this a lot, a movie can mean one thing 10 years ago and mean something totally different when re-watched
The movie didnt change, you did, and your opinion of it will change as well.

I've never needed a re-watch to appreciate something I didn't enjoy but I have benefited in terms of better understanding a film; Mulholland Drive for example.

I think if you didn't enjoy Brick your first time around it might be a lost cause.

You might be right, except when this movie was released I still loved noir. It might have been more of a "I hate the highschool aspect, and I'm drunk."

The re-watch has saved this movie. Loved Brick...

Brick is the one exception for me, the re-watch changed the entire experience. Looking back, I wasn't grown enough to catch the amazing use of language, I was drinking, and I watched it with my cousin who spent most of the time making third rock jokes and laughing at the language. I'm so glad I rewatched it.

Can't remember have I ever liked anything more after rewatch, maybe, but less many times. For some years haven't really been rewatching hardly anything.

I go to the movies with people all the time, why would I want to go out to the theater alone?
