You probably need a monitor, if your monitor is more than 5 years old its probably out dated.
1337 fps bros are all using 144-240hz monitors. If you don't have one get one - probably similar story with the mouse, and keyboard.

PREBUILT PCs were popular the last 2 years because of GPU shortages OEMs (hp, dell ect) had graphics cards in prebuilts that were not ubtainable from regular people
This is no longer the case - any you should be able to find nearly every component for your build without issue.
I would not recommend a prebuilt if you are willing to spend a few hours watching a youtube video and assembling your own. Are you willing to do this?

You are one of the few people who have a Microcenter near you. Take advantage. They typically beat regular pricing ANYWHERE online by 10-20%. Black Friday is also 1 month away.
Are you willing to wait a few weeks and leverage items specifically on sale from Microcenter? This is a niche store that only allows in store pickup

The last question I would ask you is do you have any desire to limit the size of your case - does that provide any value to you?

Thank you very much for the reply.
I am planning on building the computer myself. Case size isn’t an issue for me either. I would like to purchase the computer components now. If there are any good deals for laptops I’m not opposed to that.

Don't try to game on a laptop unless you really have to and only do 1hr sessions or something. Otherwise if you want to be competitive and have an enjoyable experience (specifically in poorly coded CODs), don't paly competitive games on a laptop.

The following isn't necessarily the best deals around scouring the internet, this is just a build that could be picked up today and tested. I believe this build is reasonable for your budget. Reddit build a pc sales and Reddit build me a pc subforums may be more help.

CPU: Intel 12600k + Asus Z690P (DDR4) - Alternative would be side grade to 5700x for lower cost
https://www.microcenter.com/product/5005932/intel-core-i5-12600k,-asus-z690-p-prime-wifi-ddr4,-cpu-motherboard-combo

GPU: AMD 6900XT or 6800XT is the value king.
If you happen to find a 3080 for sale you would probably be slightly better off with that, otherwise its not worth the additional cost.
https://www.microcenter.com/product/634191/msi-amd-radeon-rx-6900-xt-gaming-x-trio-triple-fan-16gb-gddr6-pcie-40-graphics-card

The rest of the stuff you can almost Amazon or newegg at any time, ill look for stuff at microcenter as a priority.

PSU (850W) - 100-150$ -Pick a good PSU Corsair.. seasonic... certain EVGA models.. the ASUS one is OK for the availability / price at microcenter.
https://www.microcenter.com/product/625265/asus-rog-strix-850-watt-80-plus-gold-atx-fully-modular-power-supply

Memory 16GB DDR4 - 60-120$ -16GB will suffice for 90% of games...you buy 2x 8GB sticks called a 16GB kit.. and then you buy a 2nd kit in the future.
https://www.microcenter.com/product/637453/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-(2-x-8gb)-ddr4-3200-c16-dual-channel-desktop-memory-kit-cmk16gx4m2e3200-black

You need to find a case that will fit your GPU + the cooler intended to be used.
Most cases cost less than 100$, you will need one that can fit a 6900Xt though.
Most Coolers range from 50-100$....

Samsung 1TB 980 PRO NVME SSD 150$ - This is kinda the latest and greatest. Any Samsung / WD / Crucial NVME SSD would work if the price was right.
https://www.amazon.com/Electronics-Heatsink-Internal-Compatible-MZ-V8P1T0CW/dp/B09JHL33X7

Total would look like 450+750 (plus tax) = 1300$ for CPU + MOBO + GPU
RAM + SSD + CASE + COOLER would likely be in the 450$ range.
