Hello,

I just recently built a new pc with this brand new CPU. I also paired it up with the Asus rog strix x670e-e.

The cpu is listed for max Ram 5200

The mobo had this ram listed as compatible with itself CORSAIR Dominator Platinum RGB 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 5600. So I got that ram.

I could not boot the computer until I manually set the ram speed to 5200 in bios.

Is there any consequence to underclocking ram like I did ?

Thank you

Nope, just means it will run slower. If you were to undervolt, then that would cause issues

enable XMP as the board and CPU should support 5600mhz which is what the ram is rated at. People have been running ryzen 7000 with 6000mhz ram so you really should not have any issue with running the ram at 5600mhz.
