My current build
i7 6700 CPU
1080 GPU
16gb Ram

Things to not include in the build:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse

Must have
SSD (Minimum 1TB)
RAM (32GB Minimum)
Windows Operating System

Would be used for gaming only and I prefer performance over appearance.

All black air cooled build. Straightforward, clean look. Nothing flashy but it'll be a powerhouse

Happy to make adjustments if you need. I might recommend bumping up the CPU if you'll be doing CPU-heavy tasks but the ryzen 7 should carry you and has room for overclocking with that cooler.

If you get frustrated easily or haven't built PCs before, you might find an AIO is easier to work with than that chunky Noctua cooler but it's a personal favorite. Cools like a champ and might outlive us all

Agreed. I'll also add here that there's a wildly unnecessary aesthetic piece that can be added from Noctua that magnetically attaches. Looks slick but again, absolutely unnecessary

I recently purchased an NH-U12S and saw they had those covers in tons of different color schemes. I probably would have purchased one, but the cooler barely fit in my SAMA IM02 case to begin with and the cover may have been the tipping point

They give the people what they want!

Also fun to do custom colors on, or get an artist to paint them with heat-resistant paint

$900 for the 3080 that doesn't seem as high as before.
I'm still using a 1080, on the long road with that card lol.
