Can you please recommend a 2x16 and a 2x32 option? (Looking for best bang for the buck). MB and screenshot from manual is below. I don't think I plan to overclock, unless you think that I should....I don't have any special cooling.

Thanks!

Can you explain why you want to consider 2x 32 sticks (which totals to 64)?

As for recommendations on 2x 16 (which totals to 32), Crucial Ballistix and Corsair Vengeance LPX are the low profile (or low height) options and affordable (aim for the 3000MHz or 3200MHz).

Again, what is your use scenario or situation that you would even want recommendations for 64GB and what traditional/fan CPU cooler are you using so that it doesn't interfere with the RAM? It's like working on a construction site as if you're blind.

get one of these two options OP, sounds like you have a stock cooler anyway. don't overclock, use the XMP profiles in your BIOS.

32GB is great for someone that's highest load case is playing a game with browser tabs. 64GB is pretty much in workstation territory. what will you be using the machine for OP?

Was looking to run hyper-v (1 virtual computer at a min, maybe two.... but I don't know that I can with only 6 cores). I got a heat-sink which I believe is blocking the first slot (currently using 2nd/4th position). besides that, not much else blocking the slots.

Looks like per the manual the highest it supports is 16GB sticks, so I think it would be best to just try out 2x16 and go from their. So this one would be good? Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2X16GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16 1.35V Desktop Memory - Black

oh okay, you said you don't have special cooling so could you try and clarify? stock cooler won't generally cover RAM slots, maybe you're just over the ram slots and not blocking them?

you can run VMs with 6 cores, depends what you're doing though of course. if you need them running at the same time I assume you're testing some networked app, security tools, or something which may require more hardware.

Yeah I got a bulk heat sink like this -> Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler

I just ended up buying this, since it was on discount -> Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 32GB (16GBx2) CL16 BL2K16G32C16U4B (Black)

This was a good one right?

that is a good stick of ram, I haven't looked up anything in particular. seems fine. that cooler is what I was assuming because it's popular, I don't think it generally covers UP ram slots, maybe the fan a little if anything. have you confirmed that it doesn't fit? either way 32GB is fine its okay to not worry about it.

Yeah with two sticks, the recommend is 2/4 slot, which is out of the way. I think it's the fan attached to the heatsink which is the problem. I might be able to swap it to rear. I had put it in front, since adding to the rear is already next to the end fan on the case. Thanks for the help.
