So I picked up a decent budget gaming laptop for $850 it was bf deal for $250 off so I thought it was definitely worth at that price
MSI - GF65 15.6" 144hz Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i5 10500H- NVIDIA GeForce RTX3060 - 512GB SSD - 8GB Memory
Was this a good pickup for the price point? I did a little research and heard that the cpu might bottleneck a bit? Also to upgrade ram to 16gb, also don't plan on playing super high demand games, more like classic wow tbc, and also want to try out new world idk how that will do on it, also maybe some d2r, wondering what possibilities I have in the futures with upgrades with this laptop, ram, ssd? Is that it ? Which I'm fine with if that's the case just wanted to see my options... Anyways thank you for any tips or information!

Ram and ssd are the only things to upgrade, correct. Your CPU will generally be your bottleneck here or thermal throttle. You will most likely want 16gb as d2r eats like 8gb or more and it's super easy to upgrade.

Was def a good pick up at that price. I'd be happy with it until your CPU bottle necks the games you actively play and then look to upgrade. To see what's bottlenecking you can run task manager and look at resource usage while lagging in a game and see if it's your gpu at high load, temps, or CPU usage.

Awesome tyvm!! Will upgrade ram when I can, I saw saw some 2x 8gb corsair vengeance 2.4ghz ddr4 laptop memory, should be good? Might as well get another ssd and throw at that in while upgrading ram? Lol but with ssd do I need to reinstall windows or anything ik there's 2 slots I'd just add another one in but idk much about ssd's or what's good with that

you can pop out your current ram easily to make sure it's compatible (should have a sticker with all the specs of that ram), pretty much any ram 16gb laptop will be good. didnt know corsair veng had a laptop series
