that's all i really know. i had help building this a long time ago and my buddies are telling me its kind of outdated

i have a system with the same cpu paired with a msi gtx 1070 does really well at 1080p and 1440p

You sure your 2600K isn't overclocked?

I recommend you start with your GPU first. See if you can get your hands on a GTX 1000 series or higher.

You can keep the PSU.

As for the motherboard, CPU, and RAM, they should be upgraded. X570 motherboard, AMD 5600X or 5800X, and 16GB @ 3200/3600MHz.
