I've recently bought more ram for my computer and noticed the 2 sets of 2 sticks of ram have different numbers.

1st set is : Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 2x 8GB - CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 - 18-22-22-42

2nd set is : Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 2x 8GB - CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 - 18-22-22-42

I have highlighted the difference in the numbers.

Can that difference cause problems?

Thank you

Try them and find out. They'll probably be OK.

Just keep the sets together when you install them.
One set in slots 2 & 4 counting away from the CPU. The other two in slots 1 & 3.

The set with the D is advertised as Intel XMP 2.0
The set with the Z is advertised as Ryzen Ready.

This post in the Corsair forum tells you how to identify the RAM.

I'm not on the same page if the D and Z are the XMP vs Ryzen. If anything, it's just later revisions.

But they're ok to mix and match as long as the speed, cas latency and timing are the same.

They look to be identical, but the one with the "Z" in the model name is supposed to be fully compatible with AMD Ryzen systems. The earlier versions of the Ryzen CPU's had a difficult time running at advertised speeds, so it was a hit or miss process. People would buy 3200MHz ram, only to discover that it wouldn't be able to reach those speeds. Most of the time they'd be limited to 2133, 2666, or 2933MHz. This was an issue, because Ryzen usually performs better with faster RAM.

On that note there's usually some way to allow full usage of the ram's speed with some BIOS adjustments.
