I'm not sure what you want us to say. Asus ROG is I think, the their top line, better than the TUFF. Other common brands would be Gigabyte and their Aorus line, or MSI. I'm not familiar with MSI.

B550 chipset is good, and X570 chipset is better.

I do recommend finding a motherboard with built in WiFi because it would also have built in Bluetooth. But if you don't care for either, then forget it.

I guess I should have been more clear in my OP, thanks for the info.

My main question/concern would be, is the motherboard I linked compatible with the other components? Based off of your comments I believe that I'm safe with the one in OP?

ty for info in edit as well

Yes, the B550 chipset is compatible with AMD CPU's.

Your RAM could be higher to 3600MHz but 3200MHz is still good.

Your Samsung 980 will result in super fast speed but it won't be noticeable unless you're working with large files (AutoCAD, design, engineering, etc.) As a gaming PC, you're ok with Gen3 or SATA 3.

Your case is a very good choice. Fractal Design brands are known for build quality. Plus the latest model now have USB-C in the front.

The cooler...I didn't look. Seems ok...I'm not sure. Noctua is my go-to brand.

I looked at the specifications and the CPU cooler will suffice.
