i saw a rebuilt rtx 2060 on kwest.com for $400 thats going to be your biggest holdup, this site doesnt come up on the first page when googled so they might still have some
otherwise youll be waiting on best buy till Halloween like everyone else hehe

im sure ppl will tell u not to buy windows but getting the key is shadey or you have a permement flag on your screen, just buy it once and when ever u install windows do it offline and unclick ALL those helpful options, if u always do it that way u can set up as many systems as u want

otherwise your build looks budget but fine
recommend samsung evo m2 for storage, the 500gb ones are cheap and u can still put windows + your fav games on em
your really want that since your buying a good motherboard, post and put windows on the m2, then install your other drives later
then go with one of those 1 tb ssd cards cards for everything else your old one wont hold

for that much money u can get the corsair 5000D airflow case which is burito supreme, has room for radiators up top and even has a special place in the side, dont be like me and get a 360mm then have to go cutting chunks out your case

you can get a nice cooler master 240 or 360 aio water cooler for just a little bbit more than your cpu fan
i was hesitant at first but the aios are so easy and cool ill never go back to fans, just remember top of rad with the 2 hoses has to be at least slightly higher than the gpu mount/pump

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/osiris_reborn/saved/#view=BwzWt6
i use this template for budget builds and adjust the storage and ram for money allowance
at the time the cm aio was dirt cheap right now this is the best deal https://pcpartpicker.com/product/s3FKHx/evga-clc-360-7482-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-400-hy-cl36-v1
$100 hehe and youll never have to touch your cpu again

even with the best parts and motherboard u shouldnt be over $1200

u dont need to save money on cpu motherboard or ram, get the best
u can save a little by buying the cpu without intergrated video (youll have a gpu)
and u can save by getting mobo without wifi (youll have a hard line)
you already have some sort of ssd for main storage so u can save by buying the 500gb samsung evo its small but still the best and v fast for operating sys and start up

even cheaper but i cut some corners

Ty

Is there a non-3000 series that would be able to handle 1440p? I don't think I can grab any 3060 anytime soon.

2060 can do 144hz 1440p no problem on your game choices, those games aren't that gpu intensive compared to AAA titles such as cyberpunk, call of duty.

Does your budget come include a monitor? Are you willing to use pirated Windows?

Im waiting for 3060 ti too, a founders if i can get it
That kwest.com has some refurbos, its expensive and id say just wait 6 months but if u need something now its the best option ive seen
Amazon and ebay are full of scalpers and scammers and even if u find a legit seller they want thousands!

I think 850w PSU wouldn't be needed, I am running a RTX3070 using 650W and there is still plenty of buffer left.
Also i5-10600K wouldn't need that much power unless you overclock it to the max.
That should save you a few more bucks.
Try to get those modular PSU so you can keep your cable management sleek and clean.

Will 2060 work with 240hz 1080 as well?

My budget excludes monitors. I plan in paying for a legit windows.

The power supply I actually have it in my closet which I bought 3 years ago by accident, so I guess it leaves some room for other things.

240hz would be pretty difficult for 2060 to push up to, maybe it would occasionally at very low graphic settings. 144hz should be no problem.
If you are reaching for 240hz, then your budget will further increase because:
1. 240hz monitors are really expensive.
2. Would need RTX3070 or above to make the 240hz monitor worth it.

- Yes, I recommend 650W is enough, which costs $80~$100.

By the way I didn't see any storage in your list. Would recommend getting a M.2 SSD and a HDD.
