only parts i have nailed down so far are bootable memory such as nvme 3.0 m.2 512gb and a firecuda 2tb hybrid drive for memory not much but its a start (major upgrade since current pc doesnt even run on a sata ssd)
budget is around 1,300, can i even hit 4k 60fps with this price? probably not the best time to buy now but im willing to wait it out (unless old dusty crashes for good)
what should i be looking for other then gg cpu and gpu? last pc build was a combo off newegg 10 years ago this one im going to try to part together myself hopefully i dont f it up

goal is to you guessed it play diablo 2 resurrected in comfort its just no match for my ps5 hitting 4k 60 in rest mode

Ur ps5 also down scales the resolution and uses hidden dynamic resolution mode to keep the frame rate from dipping.

Ps5 is equal to a 1060gtx with added ray tracing roughly

Your first step is getting a cheap gpu that can handle 4K like a 1660 super or 1070 gtx on the low end (almost impossible right now) rx 5600xt may be a good option as well the rx 5700 xt and up would be your best choice.
As for processor a six core would be enough maybe even a 4core 8 thread.

I’m am currently working on a 4K 60 FPS rig with only a 600$ budget, 1300$ should be plenty but availability of products is going to be the biggest challenge.

I wouldn’t normally recommend an amd card but the new 6000 series from amd will be “available” March 18th and apparently they will be doing weekly stock replenishing... whatever that means.

You'll need a high end GPU to play in 4k 60fps primarily. You have time before D2R comes out so try to find a 3000 series card from someone who isn't scalping it. Otherwise get a relatively modern AMD cpu (doesn't have to be anything too crazy).

The other parts don't matter as much as long as it'll effectively support your CPU and GPU. You've already got a good SSD. Use pcpartpicker to ensure proper compatibility.

best option right now is too look for a deal on a prebuilt. I bought a 3070 prebuilt that came with a free monitor i pieced out my old computer and sold what i didnt need out of th enew one, ended up only paying $250 for a brand new computer with a 3070

I'm currently looking for a RTX 3080 so that I can game at 4K @ 120Hz/FPS.

If your goal is 4K @ 60Hz/FPS, then I think you'd want a RTX 3070. Or maybe last generation which is RTX 2070.

I think RTX 3060 or 3060Ti will be pushing its limits at 4K. You'll have to search reviews on this.
