You might be best off by buying a new computer since those HP premades are hardly upgradable for gaming. The main concerns are the weak PSU, lack of GPU power connectors, thermals, space for better cooling/graphics.

Could you please make a recommendation that will get a computer that I can play POE with or tell me how to fix my computer?

I'm not sure if I am allowed to post links here but you can go to newegg.com and select pc builder at the top - their builds are well rounded and have different budget points :)

Also, be aware that there is currently a global shortage in graphics cards which causes them to be priced extremely high - a bad time to buy. If you buy an AMD system, the built in APU should be enough to get you playing before the prices normalize and you can upgrade your GPU.

I have seen others post newegg.com postings. My video card and power supply was upgraded on my rehabbed computer I bought online from a Walmart site. I would prefer not to change my motherboard. If you know of a CPU that is compatible with my motherboard and will manage POE that would awesome. If not do I need a new motherboard and CPU?

You don't own an upgradeable system. This thing is ancient - time to buy a new PC!

I'm guessing you probably won't want to build a computer yourself. Your best bet is to go to a local computer retailer (microcenter, memory express, etc...) and find a prebuilt that's on sale or refurbished. Always opt to get a better graphics card then a better CPU. Most of the time the CPU is not the bottleneck when it comes to PC gaming.

This will depend quite a bit on where you live. Feel free to ask anymore questions if you need more help!

You can buy cheap refurbished dell computers that have been reconfigured and upgraded to be entry level gaming computers with older components for around 200- 300$ They sell them on Walmart online store or Amazon or e b a y But you have to do your research and find one with the right specs that isn’t a rip off. Quad core 16 gb ram 1tb storage and prolly a 2gb gpu with ddr5 is prolly the spec range you want. Buying from Walmart online with give you return options and least likely to be ripped off.

So, what are the limitations on upgrading this computer. The mother board or some other component?
