I know very little about building pcs. I have a friend who has built pcs in the past that is willing to assist me with whatever problems that I have. However he has not done anything with pcs in a few years. He recommended I ask someone who stays up on the latest and greatest pc components. I would like to build everything based off of what is in stock at microcenter at the columbus ohio location if possible so I can pick it up tomorrow. Also, I am not against a prebuilt pc if there is anything available from microcenter for a good price. Thanks in advance for the help.

Ryzen 5 5600x
Nvidia rtx 3060ti
Asus b550 board
1tb ssd
2x 8gb d4 3600 ram
650w psu
2tb hdd

Anyone care to criticize the build? What works good together, what doesn’t work good together?

The components are great, that PC will be a beast. Now you play the war on getting those parts. But you have the right idea with the 5600x+3060ti+3600 ram

Sounds great thank you. I actually already got all this stuff. In stock at micro center. They didn’t have a whole lot of cards in stock but they had just got this in and it was the last one they had.

I’d get a higher psu just in case you want to upgrade cpu/gpu in the future. It’s like 10-30$ now instead of replacing it later.

I figured I would update this, pc performs flawlessly for the most part. Only issue I have is the asus board. It is a asus rog strix b550-f. I can not get it to connect to ethernet. Asus wants me to send the board back. Im not disassembling computer to do that. Spent quite a while updating driver, changing settings, doing everything asus said to do, and everything I could find online to fix the issue. My solution was to buy a network card. Got a tp-link card for 22 dollars and it works flawlessly. So long story short, I wouldn't buy that board again, however it may have been something I was doing wrong.
