Old gfx card died, rode it out. Was waiting for an excuse to just make a new PC and found it. Kind of an ASAP thing as my old laptop I’m using in the mean time is likely vulnerable if not already compromised
Budget: ~$2,000 (I’d consider monitor a separate budget would go for a semi-pricey one if it means maximizing performance)
More specific use (what games, what programs): WoW Shadowlands (maybe Battlefield 6 in future)
Planned time until purchase: ASAP
Do you need an Operating System?: No
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Intel CPU don’t want to deal with some of the AMD problems again
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: No to wireless card, sound I don’t believe so, only using headphones
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: I’d like substantial cooling to allow comp to run very cool, likely none or minimal Overclock. No loud ass fans though
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Monitor if recommended, old one is BenQ but not very high spec, likely trash
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 91206/California
What I will salvage from old comp - 1TB hard drive 7200rpm, 480gb SSD, and ASUS - Dual-Band AC1300 Wireless PCI Express Network Card - Red. Would consider dropping the HDD for another SSD I just want to transfer the info off of it
Haven’t done too much research was looking at something like:
https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/HM7Ycf/magnificent-intel-gamingstreaming-buildWill tip for recommendations on what to get or to avoid, would prefer a overkill comp I can run cool over a highly overclocked hot running PC. I tend to not run on max settings even if possible, performance over picture quality
