Is this cost-effective? When I was leaving college 10 years back, people were moving to ASIC because the energy to mine > value of mined asset. Although the speculative asset valuation is so volatile.

tbh after doing some research (because I cant afford like 80x graphics cards), was imma pay 2k-3k for a 3090 RTX, take out my 960 in this 5 year old junk. and when im at work have it mine and when im at home pause it so i can game my ass off.

Must suck at doing research if that's honestly your plan.
