Here is my final ZEN3 + 550 MOBO + RDNA2 build which will enable SAM.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jFd27X

I have the RTX 3070 but will replace it with the 5600X.

Would it make more sense to pair my 5600X with the 6800 or the 6800XT? Would the 5600X bottleneck the 6800XT?

Also, are HDD even used in current PC builds anymore? I was thinking about dropping the 2TB HDD and upgrading the SSD to 1TB.

You have an rtx 3070 but will replace with 5600x??

Your post makes no sense, post what you have currently & we'll tell you what to get.

Swapping 3070 for 6800xt doesn't make sense unless you can sell the 3070 for more than you bought it for.

oops. I meant to say I already have the RTX 3070 (got it from a friend for MSRP so can't resell).

I was thinking about replacing it with the 6800/6800XT for SAM but there is no guarantee I will be able to get that it on launch day.

Below is my actual final build after making some tweaks. My only concern now is the PSU. Is 600W enough or should I opt for 650W?

If I should upgrade it to 650W, which would you recommend?

Sounds like you're stuck with a 3070 then?

I always get nearly double the wattage requirement based on pcpartpicker wattage
So yes, 650 I guess? But if you want an even stronger card down the road, just get a 750w
